Hello Friends and Family-
Just writing a quick post to let you know that we are okay. Hurricane Ike rolled through here last Friday night. It was pretty intense, but we were lucky! We are all okay and our house wasn't damaged. We didn't even have a tree fall down in our yard. We are still without power, however the morning before the storm, Jeff bought a generator which has been such a blessing. Yesterday our phone lines started working so we plugged the computer in the generator and...voila! we have the internet!!!
Thank you to all of you who have expressed concern for our well being. This has been a very humbling experience for us and everyone in this area. It is strange to plan your days around searching for gas, food, and ice. We will post again soon. Hopefully by then we will have power! And, we will post some pics. Later!

Sounds like you guys are having a lot of fun. ;) So, it's Sunday now, do you guys have power yet? If not, hopefully soon! What's the food situation like? Are stores functioning, or are you all living on food storage?
